Kuyay was founded in 2016 by Carolina León and Jonathan Reyna, and the cocoa they use for their high-quality chocolates comes from their own Finca Quya in Bagua Grande, Amazonas, Peru. This finca has an impressive 80-year tradition of cocoa cultivation, underscoring the family's deep roots in cocoa culture.

Finca Quya is known for cultivating native, aromatic cocoa, characterized by particularly fine flavors and high quality. Don Ranulfo, Jonathan Reyna's father, oversees the finca and the quality of the cocoa. With his years of experience in cocoa cultivation and his knowledge of the best farming methods, he ensures that the cocoa used in Kuyay chocolates always meets the highest standards.
