Welcome to Juan Laura, a family business located in the picturesque Pichari region of VRAEM, Cusco, Peru. At an altitude of 600 meters, Rosaura Laura and her family operate a cocoa plantation, now in its second generation. Juan Laura stands for tradition and quality: the cocoa grown here thrives under the protection of large rainforest trees and is free from environmental toxins.

With a passion for excellent cocoa, the company has won numerous awards, including the gold medal in 2024 for the best cocoa in the world. Juan Laura's famous 70% chocolate, made from the award-winning VRAE99 cocoa variety, has also gained worldwide recognition.

The history of Juan Laura dates back 50 years, when the family took over the old "Nueva Esperanza" farm in Pichari and dedicated themselves to organic cultivation and the preservation of native cocoa. Today, the company combines science and tradition to create the best aromas and flavors that the region's biodiversity has to offer. In addition to their award-winning chocolate, Juan Laura also experiments with different cocoa varieties to discover new flavor profiles and develop innovative products.
